We had an incredible 2024 Make-A-Wish Under the Stars event raising over $66,000 to help grant wishes for Michigan children battling critical illnesses! Make-A-Wish Under the Stars was an event created by a group of friends five years ago. Our goal: to grant wishes for kids in need. We cannot be more pleased to see the event continue to grow and bring people together for a fun evening benefitting an amazing cause. We thank you for making this event successful and for granting wishes to kids when they need it most. This year, you heard from Wish Kid Jaelle and her family. Jaelle was only 10 years old when she was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure. Her wish to meet Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was granted in 2023. They sang together, they laughed together, and Jaelle spent the day not worrying about her illness, she was able to be a kid – free and full of joy. Our 2024 Trailblaze Challenge hikers are rockstars! Despite the drizzly conditions Saturday our hikers met the challenge and finished the 22-mile hike at the Pinckney State Recreation Area, raising $166,883 and counting surpassing our goal to help grant wishes for Michigan children with critical illnesses. We’re kicking into fall with wish kid Landrey. ???? Landrey loves football and dreams of one day becoming a professional player. He does not let his respiratory disorder hold him back from playing the sports he loves, so when he was granted a wish, he knew exactly what he wanted: his very own football field. ?? Local supporters came together to help grant Landrey’s wish. Now, he can play and practice football with his family and friends in the comfort of his backyard – a source of daily joy. “I was so surprised! I really liked it,” Landrey said. ??
