On March 12th, our friends from 618 visited us here at the Wishing place to present us with funds raised at their third annual 618 Gala held in November at their restaurant in Freehold, NJ. Together with their employees, sponsors, and event attendees, the gala raised $51,983.00 to help us grant wishes to children battling critical illnesses right here in New Jersey! Doctors make wishes come true, too! We are incredibly grateful for our medical partners who go beyond the physical care to support children in their wish journeys. Each year, Make-A-Wish New Jersey grants wishes involving air travel to hundreds of children who are facing a devastating diagnosis of a critical, life-threatening medical condition. From wishes to go to tropical destinations, to visit amusement parks, to meet their favorite celebrities and many others, wish children and their families board airplanes daily to reach their wish destinations. The need for your unused travel miles has never been greater. Our team was invited to speak at the @RocketPharmaceuticals Rare Disease Day event on February 25th, sharing the mission of Make-A-Wish and relationship Rocket Pharma has to some of our wish kids who battle rare diseases. Following Dominique & Jennifer’s presentation, CEO Gaurav Shah and President, Head of R&D and COO, Kinnari Patel, presented Make-A-Wish with a $10,000 donation to help move our mission forward and grant a wish. Throughout the day, Rocket Pharma employees generously put together activity bags for wish kids that were donated to us here at the Wishing Place. We are so grateful for the support of Rocket Pharma!
