Major Food Group (MFG) is a hospitality company founded by Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi, and Jeff Zalaznick. In the span of a decade, MFG has evolved from operating a small restaurant in downtown Manhattan, Torrisi Italian Specialties, into one of the most acclaimed hospitality groups in the world. They have pioneered a celebratory style of dining at such iconic restaurants as CARBONE and The Grill, forged groundbreaking partnerships with leading designers and luxury brands, and opened hotels including The Ludlow Hotel in Manhattan and The Newbury in Boston. Looking back at some of our favorite moments with the team this season as we wrap up 2024 in a MAJOR way—from joining the Gulliver Dish Out Kindness Club and the Ceesar-Iglesias Family Foundation for the 1st Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive in Miami, to hosting the Brown Hospitality Club at our downtown restaurants during their field trip to New York, and participating in Robin Hood’s Adopt-A-Family Program. We were thrilled to celebrate VP of HR Nicole on her run in the NYC Marathon at Parm Upper West Side, while over in Miami, the team at CARBONE VINO trained behind-the-scenes to welcome the Coconut Grove community and beyond to our newest restaurant.
