Ephrata Development Organization DBA Mainspring of Ephrata is an economic and community development organization serving the Borough of Ephrata. Its mission is to improve the quality of life in the community through increased economic opportunity. This is accomplished through three core programs, or key strategies: Physical Development, Business Development, and Community and Events. The Community and Events program includes activities such as community events, neighborhood improvement programs, and programs addressing Physical Development includes activities addressing the overall appearance, walkability and safety of the Borough, and finally, the Business Development program stresses activities to encourage business recruitment and retention, tourism and historic preservation.

Nearly 400 luminaries will illuminate the Warwick to Ephrata Rail Trail in a solemn tribute to our veterans. ?? Sports Barber, LLC in downtown Ephrata is collecting toys AND bikes for Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Their bike count is already at 47! Let's help them reach even more. Have a bike to donate? Drop it off and share the love this holiday season! They’re looking for brand-new boys’ and girls’ bikes in sizes 16", 18", and 20', and are accepting toys, as well! Cash donations are also welcome and will go directly toward purchasing more bikes. Toy and Bike drop-off times at 50 East Main Street, Ephrata: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays: 11 AM - 7 PM Fridays: 7 AM - 3 PM Saturdays: 8 AM - 12 Noon You have until December 6th to donate! ? Join us on Veterans Day, November 11, 2024, for the 10th Annual Luminary Tribute! This event is free and open to all, starting at sunset. Come be part of this moving tribute! ?? Beginning at the Winters Leadership Memorial and following the Warwick to Ephrata Rail Trail, this heartfelt event honors the more than 41 million men and women who have served in the U.S. military with nearly 400 glowing luminaries. ???? Hogs and Heroes Foundation, Inc. PA-2 will present a flag line, and Ephrata Pioneer Fire Company will proudly fly the American flag high over the trail using one of their ladder trucks. The trail will be beautifully lit, thanks to community volunteers, including members of a local Boy Scouts troop, Scouts Great 38, Ephrata PA, and students from Ephrata Area SD Fulton Elementary School will place mini flags along the path.
