On International Day of Forests, we celebrate the essential role of the world’s forests in supporting global food security, nutrition, and energy. As pillars of a healthy and sustainable planet, they are vital for agriculture, freshwater supply, climate regulation, and biodiversity conservation. At Mainetti, we honor the world’s forests through our Mainetti Global Forest project, launched in 2021. In celebration of our 60th anniversary, we planted 6,000 trees across six continents – one for every employee and 100 for each year in business. Today, our Global Forest has grown to over 63,000 trees, demonstrating our commitment to reforestation efforts and improving our planet. We’re especially proud of our Century Box Mainetti team that have actively been supporting this initiative by planting 1,000 trees every month throughout the year. Mainetti believes that companies can do their part to reverse the effects of climate change. We want to move our communities forward through sustainability leadership put into practice. A huge congratulations to the entire Dongguan team for their exceptional work in securing 11 patents and 2 patents pending for automation, machine upgrades, and process improvements that were pivotal in earning the High-Tech Enterprise Certification. The achievement in our flexible packaging facility demonstrates continuous improvement as Mainetti sets the standard in the industry. Today, on Global Recycling Day, we encourage everyone to reflect on their recycling habits and sustainable practices. It’s a crucial opportunity to consider how we can all strengthen our efforts to achieve environmental goals and support a thriving circular economy. At Mainetti, our commitment to recycling is at the core of our Full Circle initiative. We’re delivering innovative solutions to combat climate change and help our customers transition from a linear to a circular business model. Our pioneering Polyloop recycling process for polybags and transit films allows plastic currently in circulation to stay in the supply chain longer without downcycling the material, reducing the need for virgin plastic and enabling retailers to promote circularity in their operations. We launched our Hangerloop program in the 1980s to promote the reuse of retail apparel hangers. After inspection, if collected hangers are no longer fit for purpose, we recycle them and turn them into new hangers. We are proud to be leading the industry forward and creating solutions for the circular economy. We believe that by working together, we can combat the urgent climate crisis. Morresi Mainetti participated in Lineapelle, a key event for the luxury, fashion and design industries in Milan. More than 1,000 companies were in attendance. It was a perfect opportunity for Mainetti to focus on creativity and sustainability by showcasing solutions that excited visitors. We introduced the Mainetti Italia SS26 collection designed to meet the increasingly sophisticated needs of the market. The company brought a wide selection of boxes and dust bags for footwear and leather goods, and innovative packaging for many needs. Attendees were excited by foldable presentation boxes and solutions designed for e-commerce. Last week, our China team gathered for a two-day retreat in Huizhou, bringing together managers from Southern China and project team members from the North. Recently, our team in Morocco teamed up with Decathlon and Groupe Scolaire Benalmanara to host an event educating young people about the circular economy. As a Member of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, we’re proud to help the next generation gain a deeper understanding of sustainability and circularity. Mainetti invests in the development of innovative and sustainable products, services and solutions for its customers on six continents. A key part is our approach to keep previously manufactured materials in the supply chain as long as possible.? We visited a Decathlon store to see our products performing at retail and introduced the circular economy to the students from the point of sale. Youssef Bouzoubaa, General Manager - Mainetti Morocco, led a tour of our Bouskoura factory, showcasing the lifecycle of hangers from production to reuse or recycling, through our HangerLoop? program. After highlighting our industry leading processes and inspecting our products, we all enjoyed some friendly competition (as is the Decathlon tradition) and planted three trees – one by the Benalmanara School, one by Decathlon, and one by the team at Mainetti - to mark the occasion.
