According to a Harvard Business School survey 73% of employees are caregivers, and 80% of employees say that caregiving affects their productivity. Research also shows that caregivers are "problem-solvers who excel at time management." Consider instituting policies to help your employees balance work and family obligations. Congratulations to the Aroostook Area On Aging (AAAA) and Penquis CAP for being awarded grants from the National Aging and Disability Transportation Center! AAAA will develop a plan to address issues like long travel distances and challenging winter conditions, that impact older adults and people with disabilities, including the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians. Penquis will develop a plan that aims to make it easier for older adults, people with disabilities, and people who need frequent non-emergency medical care with transportation.
