Restaurant and Retail Challenge Grant: This grant provides up to $20,000 in matching funds to encourage the establishment of new restaurants and retail businesses in downtown Barberton. Downtown Building Rehabilitation Grant: This grant offers up to $100,000 in matching funds to assist building owners in rehabilitating and improving their properties. We strongly encourage all eligible businesses to apply for these grants and take advantage of this valuable opportunity to invest in their future and contribute to the vibrancy of downtown Barberton. Main Street Barberton is looking for a dynamic and motivated Project Coordinator to help bring our downtown events to life! This part-time position offers flexible hours and a chance to make a real impact in our community. Position: Project Coordinator Compensation: $16.00/hr Hours: 15-20 hrs/week What You'll Do: - Plan and implement Main Street Barberton events, including set-up and tear-down - Recruit and coordinate volunteers - Communicate with downtown entities about events - Assist with office duties such as responding to phone calls and emails, coordinating sponsorships and memberships, and maintaining an organized office - Create income and expense reports for events - Develop marketing materials and manage our social media Preferred Skills: - Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Adobe, and other office software. - Event planning and marketing experience. - Strong organizational skills and a solid work ethic.
