We are incredibly grateful to Rep. Mary Jo Daley for her efforts in securing a $175,000 grant for Lankenau Medical Center's Deaver Wellness Farm. The funding will enhance the ability of the farm, which was featured on the Rachael Ray Show, to serve the community significantly. “Lankenau Medical Center truly embraces the concept of food as medicine and is one of only a few hospitals nationwide that plant and maintain a large-scale organic garden," said hospital President Katie Butler Galbraith, MBA, FACHE. "This grant will make a difference by funding upgrades to our greenhouse so it can be used year-round as well as supporting other improvements. For fall 2024, all four Main Line Health acute care hospitals once again have received a Hospital Safety Grade of A from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to setting standards for excellence in patient safety. Leapfrog assigns an A, B, C, D or F to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 measures of errors, accidents, injuries and infections as well as the systems that hospitals have in place to prevent them. Lankenau Medical Center, Bryn Mawr Hospital, Paoli Hospital and Riddle Hospital all repeated as recipients of the highest grade, with Bryn Mawr Hospital, Paoli Hospital and Riddle Hospital having received an A in each semi-annual Leapfrog report since the fall of 2020.
