Company Close-Up: A sneak peek at one of our Main-Landers! ***Meet Michael*** Michael is the Swiss Army knife of our Falmouth office. Officially he is our Lead Engineer. Unofficially, he’s a client-whisperer, design genius, permitting ninja and idea alchemist. If you’ve got a vision for your land, Michael’s the guy who helps turn “someday” into “site plan approved reality.” He builds meaningful relationships with clients, crafts thoughtful proposals, helps people envision the potential of their land, and then collaborates with the client to bring those visions to life through concept development, design, permitting, and construction oversight. He may be relatively new to the team, but he’s already made a legendary impact. Think: fast-tracked respect, instant camaraderie, and the kind of designs that make people say, “Wait…we can actually do that?” One of Michael’s favorite parts of the job is mentoring new engineers on site design and exchanging ideas with colleagues. He lives for collaboration and thrives on the tough stuff – tight spaces, lots of constraints and the kind of urban infill projects that make most folks sweat. But not Michael. He sees puzzles, not problems and he loves a good puzzle. Superpower at work: Michael can eat two pounds of steak for lunch and still dominates at cribbage, Catan, and spades. Multitasking, redefined. Way back in college, after falling behind on a few assignments (we’ve all been there), Michael picked up a book called Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity. It’s an entire book about to-do lists—and it completely changed his game. These days, he’s a calm in the chaos, the guy with the plan, and the one getting things done without breaking a sweat. A Few More Things to Know About Michael: Bucket list destination: Israel Dream lunch guest: Jesus—and the conversation would revolve around religion, faith, and spirituality. Favorite Maine spot: Bradbury Mountain State Park because…beautiful views, solid hikes, and good vibes. After-work reset: Yoga plus audiobooks equals Zen mode activated. Beloved family tradition: “Forced family fun” (Yes, it’s a thing…and yes, it’s amazing) One tool he’d bring to survive in the wilderness: A snowboard. (We’re hoping he’s planning to shred his way to safety—or toward somewhere tropical.) Alternate career path: Writer because this guy’s got stories and style Michael brings sharp insight, steady leadership, quiet wit, and a deep care for the people and places we serve. We’re lucky to have him on our team—and can’t wait to see what he designs next. If you enjoyed today's company close-up, please show us some love with a like, comment, and/or share!
