Join Jordan Dentz for an upcoming webinar sponsored by the New Buildings Institute on heat pumps and decarbonizing our buildings. This webinar explores a series of novel heat pump solutions—large geothermal, window saddle units, packaged terminal heat pumps, and air-to-water hydronic systems—that offer more electrification options. Join us to learn how these applications can transform the way we think about heat pumps, and to explore how applications of these technologies differ in climate zones, building types, and construction markets. https://lnkd.in/eGmpnRCg

As we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we are reminded of one of Dr. King's powerful truths: “The time is always right to do what is right.” But as we all know, doing what’s right isn’t always the easy path. In our professional lives and personal journeys, we often face tough decisions—choices that challenge us to act with courage and integrity. Dr. King's legacy teaches us that standing up for what's right, even when it’s difficult, is what shapes true progress. Whether it's advocating for fairness, fostering inclusivity, or making decisions based on principle rather than convenience, our actions matter. On this day, let’s be inspired by Dr. King's unwavering commitment to justice and remember that the right path, while often challenging, is the one that leads to lasting change.

“We think Passive House is a model for us,” said Bob Hankin, president and chief executive officer at Exton-based Hankin Group, the developer, owner, and manager of the apartments. Jon Jensen, Director of Sustainability at MaGrann Associates was able to share his thoughts on the process, “We function as a coach, cheerleader, and then at the end of the process, a referee [with certifiers] for developers who want their projects to be sustainable in some way. One of the core components of my mission as a professional is to help builders do a better job in a way they’d be happy to repeat.” Thank you to The Philadelphia Inquirer for featuring the spirit and journey, we and Hankin Group faced, in designing and verifying the first market rate passive house project in PA. We are so proud to be the MEP Design professionals, Certified Passive House Consultant and Verifiers on this project!
