  • ???? Magnum Safety Tip: ?????????? ?????? ?? ???????? ???? ???????? ?????? ??This invisible hazard is common on shaded roads, bridges, and overpasses. It can be especially tricky in the early morning or after a thaw. Always be on the lookout for wet or shiny spots on the road, as they may be black ice. ?? ?????????????? ???????? ?????????????? ??Even when ice is not visible, the road can still be slick. If you’re driving in freezing temperatures, especially after snow or rain, be extra cautious, particularly during early morning or night when temperatures are near freezing. ?? ?????? ???? ???????? ???????? ??Reduce speed when road conditions are uncertain. This gives you more time to react if you hit a patch of black ice. ??Allow extra space between you and the vehicle ahead, as stopping distances increase on icy surfaces. ??Avoid sudden movements. Keep your steering gentle and apply brakes slowly to maintain control.

  • ?? Leadership isn’t defined by a title—it’s measured by the impact you have on those around you. Whether you’re guiding a team or stepping up when it matters most, great leaders inspire, listen, and help others grow. The truth is, anyone can lead. Leadership isn’t about authority—it’s about showing up, supporting others, and leading by example. At Magnum, G.O.A.L. means more than Get Out And Look—it also stands for Get Out And Lead, because real leadership is rooted in action, not position. You don’t need a title to make a difference. Start where you are, lead with intention, and watch the ripple effect of your actions. ??

  • Backing accidents are a common, yet preventable, risk in the trucking industry. G.O.A.L. is a proactive safety strategy designed to ensure full awareness of your surroundings before backing up. Here’s how to implement G.O.A.L. for safer backing: ?? Assess the area around you before starting. ?? Activate hazard lights to signal others of your intentions. ?? Check your mirrors, but be mindful of their limitations. ?? Get Out And Look—physically inspect the entire backing path. ?? Back up slowly while continuously monitoring your surroundings. By following G.O.A.L., we can work together to promote a safer environment for everyone. Stay aware. Stay safe. G.O.A.L. #TruckSafety #G.O.A.L. #MagnumTransportation

  • In colder temperatures, diesel trucks can experience difficulty starting due to a phenomenon known as fuel gelling. Diesel fuel contains waxes that can begin to solidify as temperatures drop, leading to clogged filters and hindered fuel flow to the engine. Typically, diesel fuel starts to gel around 32°F (0°C), although it can begin to thicken at temperatures as high as 20°F (-6°C), depending on the fuel blend and additives. When the temperature continues to drop, the wax crystals can obstruct the fuel lines, making it difficult for the engine to receive the necessary fuel to start. As the temperature decreases, the wax becomes thicker, which means truckers must be proactive by using fuel additives or winterized diesel to prevent gelling and ensure proper engine function. If you encounter difficulty starting your truck on a cold morning, it may be due to gelled fuel. It’s important to take preventative measures to keep engines running smoothly in cold weather.
