Even more exciting, we are so happy to be honoring this accomplishment during Women’s History Month, while sharing our actual birthday with International Women’s Day on March 8th!?? ? As a woman business owner, Ms. Karen demonstrates her resilience and dedication through everything she does! From supporting other women in the construction industry to mentoring her team and family, she is a matriarch in her field! ? Ms. Karen attributes her strong work ethic to her parents who owned a bakery on Beale Street, where she spent many days as a child! When losing her father at a young age, she quickly learned how to be independent and a leader. These lessons pushed her to begin her journey upstarting Magnolia Homes as a single mother to two young children. Now, she has a thriving business of her own, a team she has taught so much, and a family that works alongside her and loves her dearly! ? “In 1987, when I started Magnolia Homes as a pioneer female builder in a male dominated profession, building QUALITY homes for families was my goal!
