    You love a product. The company updates it. Now it sucks. We’ve all been there. This happens all the time in the gaming industry. Developers ignore the community, roll out updates no one wanted, and ruin their most loyal players’ experience. (I'm still sad about what happened to Star Wars Battlefront II. If you don't know the story, look it up.) I’ve been gaming for most of my life. As games have gotten bigger, more complex, and more ambitious, one thing has stood out: There's a massive disconnect between what communities want and what developers deliver. But fear not, dear reader, we come not with problems, but also solutions, as I’ve laid out in this video. I believe that studios need to start curating an “Inner Circle”. A space where top gamers and developers can co-create the best possible outcomes. I floated this idea on Reddit last night, and someone called it a "Virtual Board of Directors." Not gonna lie, I don’t think they’re far off. Shoutout to u/ttoxictomato for that take. So… any of you gamers? Or, more importantly ... anyone know someone at a gaming studio who should see this?

    Trying out something new, so let me know what you think! Focused videos on ways brands you love can activate their consumers. The first month of the year has passed, and I had a lot of friends that did "Dry January". It's gotta be the most active time of year for NA beverage companies. But there's a massive missed opportunity here for someone to "own" Dry January. One way to do this is by creating an interactive challenge that brings customers together and helps them complete the journey. I lay out an idea in the video below that is not only interactive, but provides an opportunity for companies to build a deeper relationship with the customer and benefit from sales above and beyond a basic ad campaign and discount.     890 days. Over 5,000 hours. That's how long I've been working on MAGNETIQ. And I've needed every minute of it to get to the point where I can break down why we exist in such a concise way. When we first started, we were looking at a factory model. The platform would be the key element that helped us launch and grow projects. But then we decided to play bigger, and moved towards being an all encompassing SaaS solution. As we evolved, we've been presented as a loyalty solution, a community platform, and much more. But after hours of time, hundreds of conversations, and watching how our tooling has being creatively used by actual businesses, we've finally found our sweet spot. We are MAGNETIQ, and we're here to disrupt the traditional marketing funnel by simplifying the creation of high value digital experiences that transform the connection with your customer. I'm really thankful to Paul Essery for giving me an opportunity to speak about my journey and what we do on the Tech Business Connected podcast. Sometimes when you rewatch these types of things, you can't believe it's you speaking the words. I had to share this clip, as I could hardly believe it was me. But our minds work in mysterious ways. So no, this is not a scripted line, but rather an amalgamation of nearly 900 days of learnings packed into one 50 second clip. This is what it's all about, this is why we build.

    As the resident LVP**, saying I'm picky about "sponsored" founder-related events is the understatement of the century. I absolutely NEVER want to be sold to - be it business solutions, self help, or skincare (Sephora is my personal idea of hell). But Tyler and I met Alex Pecorella from Dualboot Partners a few months back, and he has been nothing but supportive, generous with introductions, and an open book as to ways he can/is willing to be helpful. I'd say that goes FAR beyond Dualboot's standard offering of software development services. Alex and his team threw an event that was not only *gorgeous* at Monarch rooftop in midtown, but informative, allowed us to meet more of the team, and above all, FUN. (Hi, Kelly Anne, we missed you! :) I'll personally always be grateful for the team's intro to the Profluence+ Community, since that's how my other favorite Tyler (Tyler Koenig), and I reconnected. If you need help with just about anything in the tech or startup world, these folks are your guys (and gals). **Least Valuable Prospect -- trust me: try to sell me on something, and the second I smell "shill," I will shut it down *immediately.*
