Today I spoke in Swedish Parliament about data driven education & the work we’re doing at Magma Math ???? ???? / Matteappen Magma ???? / Magma Maths ????. Thrilled to share the amazing results #schools using Magma are seeing, including those achieved by Hjulstaskolan, which was front page news in one of Swedens largest news papers a few weeks ago (3rd photo). “What do you mean by amazing results?”, you might wonder. Well, how is this: Hjulstaskolan is one of the most socioeconomicly disadvantaged schools in Sweden. In 2015, 57% of their students in year 9 failed math. They’ve been working with Magma consistently since 2023. Fast forward to 2024 and the results: only 5% of students failed math, which should be compared to the national average in Sweden 15%! Normally, socioeconomically disadvantaged schools do much worse than the average, so to outperform the Swedish average is a huge feat! Well done Hjulstaskolan - we’re so impressed by the work you’ve done and we’re a proud partner in your success!
