That is why it was so meaningful for us to take part in a critical discussion at Advertising Week New York about how to respond to what has become a real backlash against DEI. Our own Tyrone G., Head of People & Culture joined a panel, “Post-Election 2024: How Brands Can Combat the DEI Backlash and Commit to Diversity,” with industry luminaries including Nadja Bellan-White, Christine Capone, and Rana Reeves. They engaged in a lively exchange of ideas around how brands and agencies can build diverse and talented teams that can better speak authentically to consumers? - not despite, but because of their differing perspectives. Having diverse teams is not about checking off boxes, it’s a business imperative that not only improves work culture but also contributes positively to the bottom line.
