Floods in Spain, wildfires in Los Angeles, the coldest winters, and the hottest summers — climate catastrophe is not a far-away issue; it's driven by the same exploitative, extractive economic systems that exploit and impoverish Black, Indigenous, and rural communities worldwide. At MADRE, we believe investing in local leadership, providing skill-building tools, and influencing policy are key pathways to establishing climate justice. Change comes from the bottom up. Listening to the needs of those most affected, yet often silenced, builds solutions for everyone. https://lnkd.in/eWtPs2ha
