The Monrovia Community Center, located in Huntsville, is looking for a Recreational Center Assistant Supervisor. In this position, you will be organizing, leading and instructing recreation and sporting activities. Some of the duties and responsibilities include: -Assist in planning, implementing, scheduling, coordinating and promoting a variety of sports and recreation activities and programs for various age groups; assist in planning and scheduling special events and social activities; assist in conducting camps, clinics and workshops. - Organize and coordinate sports and recreation activities for youth, young adult, and adult groups; meet and confer with youth athletic league representatives and monitors youth athletic activities; promote good conduct, sportsmanship and safety; maintain order and discipline; issue and collect sports and recreation equipment. -Organize and schedule arts and crafts and health and fitness activities. -Schedule usage of the facilities; make reservations, collect fees and issue receipt; record activities in daily log sheet; set up equipment for regular activities and special events; take down and store equipment; keep the facilities clean and orderly; perform minor maintenance duties. -Promote and maintain a cooperative relationship with public and private agencies in the neighborhood.
