January is School Board Recognition Month! We’d like to honor and thank our board members for their leadership, dedication, and commitment to our students and community. We would like to welcome new board member Brett Hunt to the Madison School District Governing Board! Mr. Hunt and re-elected board members Mr. Scott Holcomb and Ms. Karen Gresham were sworn in prior to last night’s Governing Board meeting. Additionally, Madison’s Governing Board was recently recognized with the esteemed Lou Ella Kleinz Excellence in Governance Award by the Arizona School Boards Association (ASBA). This award honors an entire board for their exceptional education leadership during the year. The Lou Ella Kleinz Excellence in Governance Award, named in memory of former ASBA Executive Director Lou Ella Kleinz, who served the association from 1971 to 1991, is a tribute to boards that have consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership in the field of education. Receiving this prestigious award reflects the tireless efforts and dedication of our Governing Board in guiding our district towards excellence. Their unwavering commitment to educational leadership has had a profound and lasting impact on the lives of our students, fostering an environment of growth, learning, and opportunity. Mr. Greer is a remarkable teacher and role model, not only for Camelview CUBS, but also for fellow educators. We all bear witness to how dedicated and passionate he is about education. Mr. Greer brings remarkable voice and creativity to his instruction. Hannah consistently inspires her colleagues with her unwavering commitment to advancing the education profession. She is reflective in her practice, always seeking ways to improve, which has a positive impact on teachers throughout the district. Her ability to manage complex projects efficiently makes her an invaluable asset to the team, driving critical initiatives forward with remarkable effectiveness. As a member of the Arizona K12 Center's Teacher Solutions Team, she collaborates with teacher leaders across the state to think critically about improving education. Hannah is dedicated to supporting Madison’s strategic goals, specifically through her involvement in the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) initiative. The grant will help buy electronics such as Raspberry Pi's, Arduino starter kits, and a multi-color 3D printer, and more! The Madison School District has received the letter grade of an “A†as a district! ?? Each year, the Arizona Department of Education, subject to final adoption by the State Board of Education, develops an annual achievement profile for every public school and school district in the state based on an A through F scale.
