Yesterday, Tulsa was affirmed as a “big league” #TechHub, thanks to the dedication of Tulsa Innovation Labs and other key partners who worked on the Tulsa Hub for Equitable and Trustworthy Autonomy (THETA) grant. Now that the?U.S. Economic Development Administration?has awarded Tulsa approximately $51 million through its Tech Hubs program, our community is poised to solidify its position as a global leader for trustworthy and secure autonomous technologies such as uncrewed aircraft systems, autonomous vehicles, and drones. Alongside other key partners who contributed to this monumental initiative, MSG is excited to continue our commitment to investing in workforce development, empowering underserved populations, and fostering economic mobility for all Tulsans. We look forward to ensuring that the Tulsa workforce has the resources and technical skills it needs to further its ongoing status as a global tech leader.? ? The Tech Hubs program challenged 31 U.S. regions, designated “Tech Hubs,” to scale emerging industries by leveraging local assets and partnerships to address national challenges. Tulsa was one of only 12 recipients of the funding. Tulsa is uniquely equipped to lead this new era of industrial innovation. With the city’s rich history in aerospace and manufacturing, we’ve been at the forefront of critical innovations for years. ? Today, we celebrated mothers and families who graduated from the Children First Program alongside the Tulsa Health Department and the George Kaiser Family Foundation through the Birth through Eight Strategy for Tulsa (BEST) program.
