This past Wednesday marked the final site visit for our Madison Industries summer interns. Our interns visited Therma-Stor to meet with fellow summer colleagues, connect with Therma-Stor leaders, and learn how safer and healthier indoor air quality is created. David Harrison Jr kicked off with leading our interns through a tour of the plant, followed by a finance presentation by Matthew Tinkham. Kait Rogstad shared more on the Therma-Stor's people and culture, and Danny Fitzgibbons closed off the day with sharing more on his journey at Madison, and left some tips for this summer's leaders on how they can continue utilizing trust and a bias for action on their path to becoming future entrepreneurs. Thank you to Therma-Stor's leadership for their warm welcome and showing our interns how they help contribute to building something truly remarkable!

Our summer intern site visits continue with an unforgettable tour of AMKUS Rescue Systems and Task Force Tips. We kicked off with a tour of TFT to learn more about the life-saving equipment firefighters use and it's history by Andre Boissoneault. Interns sat in on presentations on Finance and Strategy by David Curry and Product Design Engineering by Ryan Smaga. All of our interns also had the opportunity to get a glimpse into what firefighters experience when using TFT products. Next stop was at AMKUS where Mellada Kirisits and Timothy Jennings shared more about the rescue tools used by first responders. We got to see a full circle moment with Logan Green - previous summer intern 2019 + 2020, connecting with this summer's cohort to share his experience on what it's like being a part of a team with an incredible mission. Finally, we had amazing volunteer firefighters who are part of the AMKUS team give a demonstration on how our life-saving tools work. A HUGE THANK YOU to all of our leaders at AMKUS and TFT for welcoming Madison Industries summer interns and sharing how you and your teams make the world safer, healthier, and more productive.

June is #NationalSafetyMonth so what better time to highlight the safety culture at Madison Air and the Nortek Air Solutions, LLC Safety Ambassador Team in Okarche, Oklahoma. Started by group president Russell Toney, the NAS Safety Ambassador Team fosters a culture of safety and well-being at our company. The ambassadors carefully evaluate the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and study every aspect of our line for potential hazards. At our Okarche facility, Mellissa Stanfor and Jake Campbell lead the charge as safety ambassadors. They meet weekly to review, assess, and implement new procedures, and with the guidance of Chris Talbott, they recently introduced Weekly Safety Alerts which have proven invaluable in keeping people vigilant. Their combined efforts have helped lead the way toward continued improvement. Nothing is more important than returning home safely to our loved ones after a day's work.
