We won an Anthem award! ?? Over the moon for this recognition. The Anthem Awards, part of the Webby Awards?"honors social impact projects that inspire people to take action to improve their communities. The goal is to amplify voices that spark positive global change." Our stuff is so open that anyone can use it without any permission, interaction or even mention. We do this by design to minimize friction. But then, it's sometimes harder to know if what we do is actually used or appreciated. This award goes to all of you, partners, supporters and users who do work with Clay, ... the reason this award happened. As we share on the video below, we're guided by a vision of understanding Earth, much better, much faster and much more easily. We can see that world, and we are committed to help make it happen. As part of the #SatSummit plenary, Bruno Sanchez-Andrade Nu?o gave an excellent discourse on the State of AI in geospatial and Earth Observation. Bruno posited that advancements in AI would eat GeoAI (think software is eating the world), and perhaps the traditional geospatial industry is fighting a losing battle. For example, traditional GIS technicians need to unlearn NVDI, because AI/ML engineers can solve this problem more efficiently using modern AI approaches. A parallel he highlighted was that Formula-1 driving teams struggled to train their pitstop teams to perform at peak output because they were trying to teach mechanics how to perform at high output. They learned that finding high-output athletes, like Olympians, and teaching them how to change tires was easier.
