I help entrepreneurs scale their business and have a wonderful life after | EntrepreneurCooperative.com & Host @ Made It Podcast
A sobering weekend reality check: 9,000 acres near Fredericksburg caught fire just one mile from our home as SXSW wrapped up. We spent the entire weekend glued to fire maps and alerts, hoping our property would be spared. Here's the eerie part: -4 months ago: Lemonade insurance dropped our Fredericksburg coverage citing "fire risk" -At the time: Seemed overly cautious, possibly an excuse -Today: Looks like perfect foreshadowing as flames approached our neighborhood This experience perfectly aligns with today's rushed podcast episode featuring Mike Lloyd. Two reasons his timing is impeccable: 1)As a Post-Exit Founder (PEF Community), he's built a system to help entrepreneurs properly audit their insurance (something we clearly needed) Pine View Insurance Group 2) He acquired FIREZAT - a company producing specialized fire blankets for homes (brilliant solution we never knew we needed) just this February Key Takeaway: The best entrepreneurs identify pressing problems before they become obvious and develop practical solutions while others still deny the issue exists. Current situation: Fire is 55% contained. Grateful for the responders working to protect our community.
