Our Rekindle the Flame Vigil took place on Saturday, September 14th, at the Desert Botanical Garden. ?????We were deeply grateful to the 40+ victims and survivors who joined us to honor and remember their loved ones. Special thanks to Estevan Ramon for serving as our MC, and to Cheryl Howell, Survivor Advocacy and Support Bureau Chief from Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for delivering a heartfelt keynote address. Thank you Yvette Santa Maria for sharing your story and being our Mission Momemt speaker. Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Officer Zane Coolidge who lost his life in the line of duty on September 6th. We thank Officer Zane Coolidge and all those who put their lives on the line every day to ensure the safety of others in Arizona.

Over a year ago I brought the vision up to my then supervisor, Abby Sanchez. Expressing that there was a need for acknowledgement and support of our Indigenous patients/communities from a leading Healthcare provider like NCHC - She brought it to leadership and boom! We’re EXTRA MADD about our volunteer of the month for August-Jen Wible! ?? Jen is a very passionate volunteer with MADD AZ always willing to share her story to bring awareness and prevention throughout our state. Her dedication to sharing her story extends not only within MADD at our VIPs but also at different community events or speaking engagements. More recently, Jen participated in the presentation in conjunction with Tempe Police Department for the Vision Zero Project late last month, bringing awareness of the vital issues associated to underage drinking.
