Macon Housing Authority is an independent, entrepreneurial, and public nonprofit organization that has excelled in the management of low-income and affordable housing for nearly eight decades. In recent years, MHA has expanded its focus to supplement quality housing in amenity-rich neighborhoods with programs designed to promote self-sufficiency, improve the quality of life for residents, and contribute to the betterment of the community. Through financing and innovative partnerships, MHA has literally transformed neighborhoods by converting public housing projects into mixed-use, mixed-income communities.
