In honor of National First Responders Day yesterday, Supervisor Viviano delivered heartfelt, hand-written notes to our MTFD Firefighters and MCSO Sheriff's Deputies. These special messages were crafted by some wonderful students at Cheyenne Elementary School, thanking our first responders for their bravery and protection. Thank you to our heroes for keeping our community safe day and night. Happy National First Responders Day! ???? Our GIS Coordinator, Molly, delivered an insightful presentation at the Michigan Communities Association of Mapping Professionals (MiCAMP) Conference at Boyne Mountain Resort, sharing her knowledge with industry peers. ?? Meanwhile, Firefighter Mike Risk represented the Macomb Township Fire Department at the 2024 U.S. National Championship Firefighter Challenge in Alabama! His dedication and performance are truly inspiring. ?? We are incredibly proud of Molly and Mike for their hard work and accomplishments!

Partnered up with my Chef this week to host a BBQ at the Macomb Township, MI Senior Center where we fed a room full of seniors and a handful of firemen & police officers! As an added bonus, we also treated our staff to a caramel apple bar in honor of Assisted living week!

There are many things that make Macomb Township one of the greatest places in our state to live, work, and play. This morning, we had the honor of supporting one of those reasons - Macomb Township Firefighter Joe Warne. Today, Joe began his incredible 140-mile journey from MTFD Station 2 to Cascade Township Fire Department, all to raise funds for Michigan firefighters battling cancer.
