MacLellan Gives Back to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass! At MacLellan Integrated Services, our employees are committed to making a positive impact in the communities where we work and live. Recently, team members from our Lexington office were able to take time out of their regular workday through our employee Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program, and prepare grab-and-go lunches for families at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass. RMHC offers housing, meals, and activities to families with loved ones in extended stay hospital care. All of this is provided at no cost to them, allowing families to focus on what matters most - supporting their loved one’s path to recovery and wellness. As we step into Black History Month, we take this time to celebrate the rich heritage, resilience, and achievements of Black individuals who have shaped history and continue to inspire us today. This month is an opportunity to reflect on the values that drive us—Trustworthiness, Integrity, Responsibility, Community, and Excellence—and how they align with our Cultural DNA code and the contributions of countless trailblazers who have paved the way for progress. Trustworthy leaders like Thurgood Marshall and Rosa Parks stood firm in their convictions, demonstrating unwavering courage in the face of adversity. Integrity guided figures like John Lewis, who reminded us that standing up for what is right requires both strength and grace. Responsibility was at the heart of leaders like Shirley Chisholm, the first Black woman elected to Congress, who carried the duty of representation with boldness and purpose. Community has always been a pillar of Black history, from the support systems built during the Civil Rights Movement to the cultural innovations that continue to unite and inspire us today. Excellence is embodied by pioneers in every field—from science to sports, literature to leadership—who have shown us that greatness knows no bounds. This month, let’s honor these values not only in words but through our actions. Let’s commit to fostering a workplace and a world where diversity is celebrated, inclusion is practiced, and excellence is encouraged in all that we do. Together, we can continue to build a community rooted in respect, learning, and progress.

Last year at our leadership meeting, MacLellan president, Mike Sausman introduced the Bison to the MacLellan team. He challenged us to 'Be a Bison' and explained that the Bison is one of the few creatures that will take a storm head on, actually walk into it, unlike other creatures that turn and run from a storm. He challenged the team to confront obstacles head-on and develop solutions. This mirrors our cultural DNA statement of 'Own Responsibility' and adds strong symbolism for our team. As part of our 30-year celebration, we received t-shirts and a desk plaque with a picture of bison weathering a storm. These plaques are proudly displayed on desks throughout the organization. So, when our Vice President of Maintenance walked into a facility with his 'Be a Bison' t-shirt on, our customer decided to learn more. John Evans explained that we have a desire and an intentional focus within our organization to 'Be a Bison' when issues or problems are in front of us. Rather than hope things get better on their own, we will confront issues head on. He also explained that the bison is symbolic of our cultural desire for MacLellan employees to confront issues directly, walk into the storm when others turn, and take things head on. Our customers response, "Wow, that is cool, and your team here acts like a Bison when issues are present". That makes for a great day. It's a great day to be a bison at MacLellan!

Gilda's Club is an organization that supports cancer survivors and offers grief counseling to all. We are proud to partner with Gilda's in Grand Rapids for the past 4 years providing support for their important mission. This week our team worked in the kitchen making meals for an upcoming event and cleaning areas in their large facility. MacLellan has a volunteer program that encourages employees to donate their time and talents to organizations like Gildas. We know that this support helps Gilda's; it also brings us closer as a team. #MacLellanCares

The MacLellan team wishes to send our deepest condolences to EHS Specialist Daniel Coalson, who succumbed to his 5-year battle with cancer on Saturday December 14th. Daniel joined MacLellan at our location in Vance Alabama in September 2017. Daniel quickly began to develop relationships and establish himself as a well-liked and universally respected member of the MacLellan Safety Team. His influence and mark have been left on our organization, and we will continue to embrace the things we learned from him. Daniel started his career as a nuclear weapons technician with the US Air Force, went on to a stay as a risk management coordinator with Coca-Cola before Joining MacLellan. Daniel is survived by his wife Amanda, daughter Vera, and two sons Jon and Luke. Lost but never forgotten, thank you Daniel, for everything.

Excellence in Leadership Award – Doug Adams Each year, MacLellan honors exceptional leaders within the company through the Excellence in Leadership Award. This year, the award was presented to Doug Adams, who has been with the company for 12 years and currently manages one of MacLellan's OEM sites in Mississippi. Doug's career has spanned both the paint and weld shops, where he has consistently earned praise from customers for his leadership and dedication. Doug's nomination was shared by his manager, Chad Castle, who emphasized Doug’s ability to foster strong relationships among employees, customers, and suppliers. He creates an environment where promises are kept, actions align with words, and individuals feel confident in the company’s capabilities. Chad noted that Doug embodies MacLellan’s core values: Trust, Integrity, Responsibility, Community, and Excellence. In addition to his leadership in team-building, Doug has been a standout in terms of safety. His site has achieved a perfect safety record for over 12 years. Doug also ensures that his team consistently meets key performance indicators (KPIs) in critical areas like Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Continuous Improvement.
