Approximately 17 United States military veterans die by suicide each day. The American Veterans Ball selected Macintosh Films to produce an advocacy campaign titled "Let's End Veteran Suicide." The project consists of ten short and encouraging videos, crafted to be posted on social media platforms to raise awareness and provide support to our veterans. Sikich team member, Orinda Basha, expresses her deep-rooted passion for video and film, and even reveals she is an Emmy? award winner, in this #SikichHobbies. “One of my favorite hobbies is video and film. My love of cinematography goes beyond the love of movie magic; I love the craft. My father, whom I adore, is a cinematographer. I grew up around movie sets, following him to shoots on location and at the studio, to movie screenings, and to the red carpet. As a child, I was also recruited to be a supporting actress in one of my father's movies. My father says I have inherited his artistic sensibilities and passions. For many years, my passion was travel photography...until I met my love. My love, Dave Macintosh, awoke the poet and the producer in me. Dave is a very talented producer and cinematographer. He runs a script-to-screen video and film production company, Macintosh Films. Dave has brought me back on the set and on the red carpet. For the Macintosh Films projects that inspire me, I write a poem that Dave weaves into the video. Wolfram is renowned for being one of the elite swimmers chosen by NASA to rescue the Apollo 11 astronauts—Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins—after their historic moonwalk, as they splashed down in the choppy waves of the Pacific Ocean.
