  • #F35Crash #MilitarySafety #AnchorageNews An F-35A Lightning II aircraft crashed in Alaska at Eielson Air Force Base on January 28th.?Fortunately, the pilot was able to eject and was later evaluated at a hospital and released. Fairly shortly after the crash, a journalist from NBC Anchorage (“Alaska’s News Source”) contacted me and conducted an interview on my thoughts as to how an investigation of this crash was likely to proceed. The reporter also wanted to understand how a “Chain of Events” can lead to aviation accidents and my opinion on what might have happened in this case.   • I have recently had the pleasure and honor of working with the University of Nebraska Medical Center Biocontainment Unit. This team of cutting edge medical professionals led by James Lawler has dedicated themselves to serving as the premier Biocontainment center in the world. They received Ebola Patients in 2014 and many of the early Covid patients in 2020, including many from the Diamond Princess Cruise Ship?to safely care for and treat those with the most dangerous infectious diseases around the globe. They are constantly striving to raise their level of safety for their patients and their team and to create global standards for best in class operations to contain future pathogen outbreaks.
