PROMOTING ROLE MODELS AND CELEBRATING TALENTS. ?????? Women scientists, supervisors, educators, professors coordinators, fellows in the academia are strong role models for girls and inspire women all over the world to opt for career in STEM. The International Day of Women and Girls in Science steered collaboration with the #WomenAdvancingSTEMinGhanaNetwork and the MacGillivray Freeman Films, we visited 5+ schools in Ghana ????. Through science engagement initiatives, the program fostered the exchange between Scientists and adolescent girls; stimulating the interest of young women and girls in STEM topics. Today and always, we remind ourselves that further efforts are needed to ensure gender equality in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Themed "Wild About Science," the evening celebrated the power of discovery, education, and the impact of science-driven storytelling. As President and Producer/Director of MacGillivray Freeman Films, Shaun has produced such award-winning films as National Parks Adventure, To The Arctic, Into America’s Wild and the company’s latest films Cities of the Future and Superhuman Body. At the Science Spectrum, he spoke about the importance of immersive storytelling in inspiring the next generation of scientists, explorers, and conservationists and shared fascinating behind-the-scenes stories from the company’s IMAX film productions.
