Grateful, humbled, and incredibly excited to have been part of this experience! Witnessing and operating the cutting-edge #AdditiveConstruction technology alongside Michael Cao and learning from the innovative minds at Robotic Construction Technologies, Inc. and the US Army Corps of Engineers was truly inspiring. Huge thanks to Matthew Friedell , Chris Gilman, Megan Kreiger and Samuel Stidwell IV for your generosity and guidance. The insights gained into the state of this technology and the possibilities it presents are invaluable. We’re hopeful for how advancements like these can address the housing crisis through affordable and sustainable solutions. Honored to collaborate and share in this journey of innovation. Here’s to continued learning and exploration! #AdditiveManufacturing #3DPrinting #Collaboration #Innovation
Very grateful for the opportunity to see (and operate!) the latest in #AdditiveConstruction tech! (aka concrete #3DPrinting). Although not printing actual concrete during the demo, Stephen McEnery of MAC Construction Inc. (Ohio) and I gained a lot of insight on the state of the tech and where there are possibilities for improvement. The platform is a crawler base with outriggers connected to a 50' 5-axis arm with a 6-axis KUKA arm at the end. It was super cool seeing the auto-compensation work with all those degrees of freedom! I think this is a huge step forward to help with the housing crisis with more affordable options. Thank you very much Matthew Friedell & Chris Gilman at Robotic Construction Technologies, Inc. for setting this up for us. Thank you very much Megan Kreiger & Samuel Stidwell IV at US Army Corps of Engineers at Army CERL (Construction Engineering Research Lab in Champaign, IL) for allowing us to be there and for the tour. #AdditiveManufacturing
