This is what I'd consider my proudest piece of work that I created at?Fashion Institute of Technology in the?Cosmetics and Fragrance Program. The concept of the?Pat McGrath Cosmetics?Divine Eau De Parfum 001 was created alongside?Keon Jackson?and?Clare DiMartino?and this came together better than I could have imagined. The video itself was something i worked tirelessly on during a very difficult and dark time in my life, but it ended up being deeply aligned with what i envisioned for the product ?? my inspiration for this video concept was incredibly specific, but I figured I’d share where i pulled my ideas from… Musical Artist, Samia,?song ‘Sea Lions’ had just released at the time, and the closing sequence was something that hit deeply for me. Drawing from the AI-like, single word voiceover was something I wanted to incorporate into the project. Snif?tart deco was a no brainer for this project. the scent itself has the beautiful cherry notes that gave me an idea of how I wanted to video to invoke more senses than just audio and video. 2015 tumblr grunge was also a major inspo, also pulling elements of punk. I wanted to create a modern and unique twist on these timelines. lastly, I wanted to embody the personality of an expensive, luxe cabernet, with a very classy, yet bitter and edgy style.
