Last night, we partnered with the San Diego Latino Film Festival to present Mariposas Negras, a powerful animated film exploring climate displacement and resilience. Before the screening, we hosted a reception where guests connected with community leaders and organizations, sparking meaningful conversations about collaboration and impact. Following the film, MAAC Board Member Noerena Limon facilitated a powerful discussion with panelists Dr. Goran Bozinovic (Boz Life Science Research and Teaching Institute), Elizabeth Ramírez (Chicano Federation of San Diego County and Jeremiah (MCCS Student) on the realities of climate change and its impact on our communities.
