CPOR vs. RevPAR: Which Metric Wins the Championship? In hotel revenue management, RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room) often steals the spotlight. But here’s the truth: a full hotel doesn’t always mean a profitable hotel. The real MVP? CPOR (Cost Per Occupied Room) - CPOR reveals the true cost of servicing each occupied room - Small inefficiencies in CPOR—like unchecked labor costs or wasteful utilities—can wipe out revenue gains - A hotel with high RevPAR but an even higher CPOR isn’t winning—it’s just treading water Quick Formula: CPOR = Total Operating Costs / Number of Rooms Sold Real Talk: If your CPOR is too high, your hotel is leaving money on the table—no matter how high your RevPAR is. Smart hoteliers track both to make sure revenue growth actually leads to profit growth.

Honored to Join Forces for AI Excellence! Last week, I had the privilege of participating in an extraordinary panel discussion on AI and Generative AI hosted by Women Leaders of Technology (WLOT). When Smita Doshi "asked" me to join, I quickly learned that in our household, "Would you like to be on the panel?" translates to "Your calendar has been cleared for Thursday!" ?? But truth be told, as a leader of the Atlanta Generative AI Meetup (https://lnkd.in/eEmfrsuW), these are exactly the kinds of conversations I'm passionate about driving forward anyway. The opportunity to help amplify women's voices in this quantum leap of technology was one I'd never pass up. The energy was electric as 70+ women leaders engaged in meaningful dialogue about AI's transformative potential. What struck me most was the perfect blend of seasoned professionals and young minds collaborating to shape tomorrow's technology landscape. Our panel explored critical themes: * How AI amplifies human capability rather than replacing it * How data is the fuel for AI and cybersecurity is a table-stake expectation * The absolute necessity of diverse perspectives in AI development * Balancing innovation with ethical responsibility * Inspiring the curiosity of young technologists ready to lead Special thanks to my fellow panelists Rajeev Kapur, Shiboo Varughese, and Amanda Cameron-Windsor for their wisdom and insights. The thoughtful questions on everything from mainframe modernization to data protection frameworks showed just how sophisticated this community's understanding of AI has become. Greatest lesson of the day: When diverse leaders gather to tackle technology's biggest challenges, the future looks incredibly bright. I'm honored to work alongside Women Leaders of Technology (WLOT) in helping build bridges between traditional tech communities and the brilliant women who are increasingly shaping our industry's future. Thank you to all the women leaders for building this powerful community. It was truly my honor to participate. #AI #WomenInTech #AILeadership #TechFuture #AtlantaAI #DiversityInTech

More than 70+ women leaders came together for Women Leaders of Technology (WLOT), Yesterday, I had the privilege of moderating an engaging and thought-provoking panel on AI and Generative AI, featuring four incredible experts who shared their deep insights on the evolving landscape of AI. Thank you to the panel and all the speakers???????? Rajeev Kapur (CIO Mativ) Parag Doshi (CTO at M3 ) Shiboo Varughese (CTO CirrusLabs) Amanda Cameron-Windsor (AI expert Google ) And Somya Chaudhary (EVP at Octave Holdings and Investments ) Niki Doshi Suhani Kapur What made this session even more powerful was the energy in the room—a dynamic mix of youth, industry professionals, and incredible women leaders who are shaping the future of technology. The discussion covered everything from AI’s impact on industries, ethical considerations, workforce transformation, and the skills needed to thrive in an AI-driven world. A few key takeaways from the session: ?? AI is here to augment, not replace. The best outcomes come from human-AI collaboration. ?? Diversity in AI leadership is critical. The more perspectives we bring in, the better AI will serve everyone. ?? The youth are incredibly curious and eager to shape AI’s future. Their questions and ideas were a highlight of the event! ?? Responsible AI matters. Innovation should always go hand-in-hand with ethics, security, and fairness. Love the questions about mainframe modernization, and how to modernize it using AI, practices for the adaptation of AI users, API based internal developer portal associated with AI based security parameters and steps to convert it to a unified platform, how do you ensure the protection of the data shared through the companies via AI … and many other questions…. A huge thank you to our panelists for their expertise, and to all the attendees for your enthusiasm and thoughtful contributions. The conversations sparked in this session are just the beginning!??
