?? A Major Milestone for M2X Energy ? Yesterday, we officially opened the doors to M2X Energy’s new manufacturing facility, marking an exciting step forward in our work to build scalable, real-world solutions that turn wasted methane into opportunity. This ribbon-cutting was more than just opening a building—it was about opening the door to new possibilities for sustainable energy, local job creation, and innovation right here on Florida’s Space Coast.? ? This was a day of celebration, connection, and looking ahead to what’s next. We’ve proven the technology—now it’s about impact. With this facility, we’re scaling, deploying, and accelerating real-world solutions to turn wasted methane into opportunity, faster than ever before.? ? A huge thank you to our incredible team, partners, and local leaders for celebrating with us. We were honored to welcome Rockledge Mayor Tom Price, Cocoa Mayor Michael Blake, James Fenton of the Florida Solar Energy Center (FSEC), Paul A. Sohl and Jennifer Adams McKinley from the Florida High Tech Corridor, Rockledge Councilwoman Tara Connor, Brevard County Commissioner Rob Feltner, and a special recorded message from Congressman Mike Haridopolos. Your support and presence made this moment even more meaningful.? ? This new Brevard County facility will serve as a hub for developing and deploying our mobile modular systems that help industries reduce waste while creating economic value. None of this would be possible without our dedicated team across commercial, engineering, operations, finance, and support—your hard work made this achievement a reality. We’re also grateful to our local suppliers and service providers for your contributions to bringing this facility to life.? ? #Innovation #Manufacturing #EnergyIndependence #CleanTech #GreenMethanol #WasteToEnergy #LandfillGas #MethaneReduction #BreakthroughEnergy

Another strong signal that #methanol is steering the course toward shipping's green future. ?? ?? ?? The recent decision by A.P. Moller - Maersk to retrofit ???? more vessels to run on methanol is more than just another retrofit announcement — it’s a reflection of a broader shift in how the shipping industry approaches decarbonization ?? ?? . Retrofits like the Maersk Halifax prove that we don’t need to wait for newbuilds to make meaningful progress. With a 90% reduction in CO2 emissions, this is the type of action that moves the needle ??. Shipowners are recognizing the value of flexibility. Methanol's dual-fuel capability offers a "future-proof" pathway — vessels can adapt to cleaner fuels as supply chains evolve, avoiding the need for costly overhauls. This is exactly why methanol remains a preferred solution for sustainable shipping. As MAN Energy Solutions highlights, more than 4,000 existing engines could be retrofitted to run on methanol or other green fuels. At the Methanol Institute, we see these retrofits as key ?? milestones. Each one sets a precedent for others to follow, accelerating the energy transition we need to see in maritime. The future isn’t waiting for perfect conditions — it’s being built ship by ship, retrofit by retrofit. ?? https://lnkd.in/ggTDciMv #MethanolInstitute #Shipping #SustainableFuels #GreenFuture #EnergyTransition

Some great news just before the holidays. M2X was recently selected by U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for a $7.6 million project award under the Methane Emissions Reduction Program. We’re excited to start working with our partners to deploy our gas-to-methanol systems and enable long-term methane mitigation!

Last week, the M2X Team gathered at our new, 80,000 ft2 manufacturing facility in Brevard County, Florida. This facility is now fully operational, hosting our team in its adjacent offices and manufacturing the commercial fleet of modular M2X systems that will be deployed at landfills in 2025. We also took the time to reflect on our journey and build momentum for what’s next. We celebrated 2024 as a team and are energized to tackle 2025! #biomethanol #decarbonization #biogas #M2X

Our latest update on the renewable and low-carbon methanol project database in collaboration with GENA Solutions Oy is out. We’re now tracking ?????? renewable and low-carbon methanol plants and projects worldwide, featuring: ?? 113 e-methanol projects with a total projected capacity of 18.7 Mt ?? 77 biomethanol projects with a total projected capacity of 13.1 Mt ?? 14 low-carbon methanol projects with total projected capacity of 8.1 Mt Key highlights: ? Eight new projects added in November: four in China, three in Europe, and one in Africa. ? An e-methanol project began construction, and a small-scale e-methanol plant started production. ? The total renewable methanol capacity of operational facilities and projects under construction (“After FID projects”) reached 2.6 Mt. ?? Looking ahead: By 2030, renewable methanol capacity will likely to grow to 7–14 Mt (22–44% of the pipeline). However, challenges in project development and uncertain policy support might see this figure land closer to 3–7 Mt. With new projects and steady progress globally, renewable methanol continues to position itself as a key driver in the clean energy transition. ??
