Here at Downes, safety is our #1 priority – our motto is Safe Today, Home Tonight – a motto that encourages safety on our jobsites and in our work locations to make sure all of our staff goes home safely every night. Today’s Construction Safety Week Topic is Driving Personal Ownership. Safety is everyone’s responsibility and we must meet this responsibility by planning, ensuring we have a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) on our construction sites, training staff properly, using stop work authority when we see something unsafe, and maintaining and promoting the safety first attitude.
