If you’re a leader - this article is a must read!? For the first time ever, we now have six (6) generations in the workplace! Now more than ever, it is essential to deploy strategies that will serve the six generations currently in the workforce while implementing inclusive, intergenerational practices. Some key factors to consider: ? 11,000 people are expected to reach age 65 every day through the end of the decade. ? The span of six generations is both an internal consideration AND a market-facing reality. ? “Whereas many of these diversity dimensions vary in their relevance from culture to culture, age and generational differences impact every organization in every culture around the world.” ? Generational differences do not have to divide teams. When approached effectively, they can distinguish team members’ strengths and capabilities informed by their age and generational culture. ? Pay attention to the talent pipeline. Provide meaningful ways for more seasoned professionals to mentor younger workers while making room for those younger workers to advance and gain more responsibility. ?
