Thomas Ratzel joined our team in 2022 and works as a Bilingual Branch Manager in Northern Virginia. Thomas has been in the service for four years and continues to serve as a First Lieutenant Public Affairs Officer in the United States Army Reserve. As an immigrant who came to the United States to achieve the American Dream, Thomas wanted to fully experience this dream and give back by serving his country. After graduating from Penn State, Thomas joined the Army Reserve and was commissioned through the Federal Officer Candidate School located in Fort Moore, Georgia (formerly known as Fort Benning). “I joined the Army and commissioned as an Officer not only to serve my country but to become part of the bigger picture of the Army. I wanted to challenge myself as a leader for professional development and bring lasting changes to the organization. I’ve applied the same ethic since joining M&T in 2022, which is why I enrolled in the Community Branch Management Program (CBMP) and now serve the local community as a Branch Manager.
