Happy New Year!

In 1982, Steve launched his career at Cleaners Hanger Company (CHC), covering the Southeast. He and his family; his wife Patty and their three children, Susan, Laura Beth, and Matt moved from their home in Charlotte to Atlanta. Although Steve was a competitor of M&B’s, he was a friend to all of us. Over the next 20 years, Steve maintained those connections. He later worked with Nagel Hanger Company and United Wire Hanger, before joining us as his last employer in the hanger business. Steve has been with M&B Hangers for 19 years, always staying true to old-fashioned business values. He liked to joke he was like a bartender, as customers and friends often confided in him with their issues! In 2015, Steve’s wife Patty lost her 20+ year fight with cancer. Those who know Steve saw him by her side through every moment of the battle. After a couple of years alone, he met Janet, and on December 29, 2018, they were married. They’re now a joyful, loving couple, and as Steve puts it, their bond is forever. After many long years of selling hangers, Steve will finally “hang it up” the end of 2024. From all of us here on the M&B Team, we wish him and Janet happiness in the next chapter of their lives. Steve, thanks for all you did for M&B. We are a better company because you joined our team. #CongratulationsOnYourRetirement! ??
