It is once AGAIN time to reveal another Startup World Cup Boston finalist, another champion who will be taking to the stage in just under 2 weeks time. Madison Page, the Founder of Lynx began her fearless founder journey as a veterinary assistant at the Aylmer Veterinary Clinic in Canada, where she discovered a gap in non-invasive diagnostic tools for pets. This led her to create Lynx, an innovative AI-based startup that is revolutionizing veterinary care. Lynx uses an app-based tool that analyzes photos of skin lesions and basic patient information to help veterinarians quickly assess and diagnose potential health issues. By offering a non-invasive, software-driven solution, Lynx aims to save vets time, reduce the need for costly biopsies, and promote earlier detection of skin cancer in pets. As a Tufts University undergraduate, Madison is driving Lynx forward with a vision to make diagnostic testing more affordable and accessible for veterinarians and pet owners alike. Her remarkable dedication to the cause, entrepreneurial mindset, and forward-thinking approach have earned her recognition and a spot in our prestigious competition. We're three days away from our special event with Founder Institute Boston celebrating the graduation of their 15th Cohort. With the revival of our signature Startup Showcase and some other special surprises (like a keynote from Techstars own Evangelist John Hill) it's now time to reveal some of the partners we'll be working with and three of the four founders who are part of the showcase portion. Last month, we were at the Animal Health Innovation #AHNTIUSA event in Boston at The Westin Copley Place Boston. As the second veterinary conference Lynx has attended, it was an incredible opportunity to connect with fellow contributors to veterinary innovation. No one wants their dog to go without tests or medical treatment that could save their life. TKS alumni Madison Page created Lynx a tool for veterinarians to diagnose canine skin cancer and lesions using AI. This method is proven to be quicker, cheaper and less painful than the typical FNA tests. Madison is currently working with vets from 6 private practices and 4 universities while also getting support from Torigen, Inc. Therapeutics to help grow the dataset for their model. Last night I pitched Lynx and represented the Derby Entrepreneurship Center at Tufts University (DEC) at the Boston-wide Pitch-A-Thon! At the event, I competed against ventures selected from ten different Boston-based universities and placed third, winning $1,250! Thank you to Izabella (Bella) Pivo for organizing the event, IDEA: Northeastern University's Venture Accelerator for hosting, and Elaine Chen and Carol Denning for selecting me to represent Tufts! I look forward to continuing to progress Lynx throughout the months and years to come.
