St. Patrick's Day commemorates the death of St. Patrick: Legend has it that he died on March 17, around 492 -Since the 10th century, blue was the color associated with St. Patrick, and green was considered unlucky. The standard remains true in Ireland, where they honor him by wearing blue. -"The earliest depictions of St. Patrick show him clothed in blue garments, not green, and that when George III created a new order of chivalry for the Kingdom of Ireland, the Order of St. Patrick, its official color was a sky blue, known as "St. Patrick's Blue," -Green was introduced to St. Patrick's Day festivities in the 18th century when the shamrock became a national symbol.

NATIONAL PI DAY. National Pi Day on March 14th recognizes the mathematical constant π. Also known as pi, the first three and most recognized digits are 3.14. The day is celebrated by pi enthusiasts and pie lovers alike!

Lyness Construction is the Design-Build Contractor on the recently completed Creekwood Church Project. The Creekwood Church West Campus Project included site development and multiple new worship buildings, totalling over 100 acres and 33,000 sqft of new construction. The highlights of this newly constructed campus include: The "Critters Building", a 6,000 sqft multi-functional childcare space. The "Kids Building", a 6,000 sqft youth worship and activities center. The "Sanctuary", a 21,000 sqft worship building that includes an Auditorium, Foyer, and Auxiliary Staff and Green Room Spaces. This project also included a full campus audio/visual system and multiple outdoor worship areas.

Here are some helpful tips to always keep in mind when using a ladder provided by OSHA: -Always inspect the ladder prior to using it. -Always maintain a 3-point contact on the ladder -Ladders must be free of any slippery material on the rungs, steps or feet. -Do not place a ladder on boxes, barrels or other unstable bases to obtain additional height. -Do not stand on the three top rungs of a straight, single or extension ladder. -Do not exceed the maximum load rating of a ladder.
