关于我们

LYDIA project aims to commercialize low-cost components (30% lower to commercial) for hydrogen devices (fuel cell, electrolyzers) through recycling end of life Membrane Electrode Assemblies (MEAs) and extraction of Platinum Group Metals (PGMs). The new LYDIA unit through a joint venture will recycle 3 M MEAs to produce 200 kg PGM electrocatalysts and 36000 m Nafion membrane, to be applied in new MEAs and be utilised in the manufacturing of low-cost green energy production devices for e- mobility.

We will be more than happy to meet you in our booth at European Hydrogen Week (Hall 7 - European Project Pavillion K20) to find out more about critical and strategic metals and polymeric membranes recovery from fuel cells and electrolyzers! During LYDIA project, we were able to recover Platinum Group and Transition Metals and produce new electrocatalysts implementing recycled/impure solutions. Further, we were able to recover both Nafion and BPI membranes ready to be re-introduced in the production of new MEAs (Membrane Electron Assemblies). Alongside our booth presentation, we will host a workshop around LYDIA innovative technology, inside the exhibition hall, on the 21st of November, 09:00-13:00, in room 1124. Monolithos Catalysts & Recycling Ltd. is the proud coordinator of LYDIA project bringing together an esteemed collection of partners like Schaeffler, Centro Ricerche Fiat (Stellantis Group), Advent Technologies Holdings, Inc., CNR ITAE, SOLVOMET R&I Centre (KU Leuven) and SE&C.
