A Touch of Luxury. For the Opening Ceremony, athletes wore tailored suits made from ECO-Hybrid taffeta—a fabric repurposed from recycled T-shirts and PET bottles. This sustainable material not only looked exquisite but also performed impeccably, ensuring athletes remained cool and comfortable. The women's jackets featured a double-breasted silhouette with a striking tuxedo style, while the men’s jackets incorporated elements of bomber and track jackets for a modern, athletic aesthetic. The detailing was equally meticulous. Jackets included embroidered patches representing each athlete's county, and the iconic shamrock brooches were designed to bring luck. Unique touches like the Ireland patch on the back of the jackets and gold-plated mother of pearl buttons added a touch of luxury.
