Yesterday, I had the privilege of sharing insights about Mitipi's revolutionary security prevention device, Mitipi - KEVIN, during a fantastic event attended by dedicated LAPD officers, local business owners, and local neighborhood associations. This gathering was an opportunity to foster relationships and discuss proactive strategies to prevent theft and burglary in our communities. During the discussions, the officers emphasized the importance of presence—or the simulation of presence, as KEVIN efficiently does—as the top strategy for deterring crime. Here are the top three theft prevention strategies highlighted: 1) Presence (or Simulated Presence): Continual audio and visual queues that convey a property are occupied - Mitipi - KEVIN has cracked the code on this 2) Large Canine: Large dog breeds are a natural deterrent against theft - Contact you local ASPCA to adopt a pet 3) Monitored Video Surveillance: Active video monitoring deters potential thieves but would-be criminals have to know the property is actively monitored - as demostrated by LVT (LiveView Technologies) A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this important dialogue.
