The direct service grant—awarded to organizations demonstrating nonprofit best practices at all levels—will provide critical resources to fuel our programs.?At LSH, we offer a wide range of services—from domestic violence counseling, to housing resources, a community center for older adults, and a year-round food pantry and seasonal farm stand. At the heart of our work is the belief that every person deserves to live a fulfilling, meaningful, and joyful life. LSH's Center for older adults offers more than 20 classes, workshops, and events each week, and as many as 50 people come through our doors every day. At the Center, members can visit with friends, pick up free groceries, attend health and fitness activities and art, computer, and music classes, meet with a social worker, get help with taxes and so much more. This is what community is all about.
