关于我们
Making a difference takes leadership and courage. As one of Iowa’s largest social service agencies, Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) is a leader in bringing positive change to not only the people whose lives we touch, but to the entire community. Even more change is possible when other community leaders become vested partners in improving lives. By creating sustainable partnerships with key local leaders like you, together we can build strong, healthy communities where life changing stories happen every day.

?Employers, we need your help! With refugee resettlement services suspended and resources limited, LSI is urgently helping refugees and immigrants secure jobs—but we need employer partners! We’re seeing employment for the following numbers for refugee and immigrant clients: Des Moines-82, Sioux City-22, Waterloo-15. These individuals are seeking entry-level positions in factories, warehouses, hospitality, food service, and more! Job seekers are ready to work! They have resumes, access to transportation, and are enrolled in workplace English classes. Language is not a barrier! Clients have varying levels of English proficiency—some speak it conversationally, while others may need a translator, but they have tools to help with communication. Partner with us! If you or someone you know is hiring, contact the following: [email protected] (Des Moines), [email protected] (Sioux City), [email protected] (Waterloo)

LSI is proud to support the growth of our employees, and we are excited to announce the promotion of Liz Crane. Liz has been with LSI since 2010, serving in a variety of roles, including providing Direct Care, as a Supervisor and Coordinator in Residential Services, and later transitioning to the CQI department in 2015. In November 2024, Liz was promoted to Director of Early Childhood Services, and we congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition after many years of dedicated service to LSI. She has already made great strides as Director, and we’re excited to see all she she will continue to accomplish. Congratulations, Liz!
