Thanks to the generosity of two board members, the Lutheran Home & Harwood Place kicked off the Financial Peace University. This program is designed to give all team members—staff and leaders alike—a chance to strengthen their financial knowledge, build better habits, eliminate debt, and achieve financial goals. Thanks to Marty Schreiber, a full class of 20, will be paid their normal wages and attend weekly classes from now through April with the anticipation of meeting their financial goals. Ron Philleo and his team are generously donating their time and expertise in facilitating this program. The Financial Peace University supports the LHHP vision, “Those we serve are living their best life possible with peace of mind,” which extends not only to our residents, families, children, but also our valued employees.

Congratulations to our Intergenerational Program team at the Lutheran Home for earning Generations United “Program of Distinction” Award, which has been recognized nationally! Yesterday, The Lutheran Home & Harwood Place hosted our annual Wellbeing Fair, and we want to extend a big thank you to everyone who participated!?This event is a great opportunity for our staff to learn more about the wide range of benefits available to them— including health and wellness benefits program, 403B and financial planning options, voluntary benefits, and more!?Many also took advantage of receiving their annual flu shot. We’d especially like to thank all of our vendors for dedicating their time to educate and engage with our employees. Your expertise makes it easier for our staff to navigate their health and wellbeing. Presented annually, this is awarded to WCCEAL provider Assisted Living Communities (ALCs) that exemplify Heather Bruemmer by demonstrating going above and beyond to provide quality care to their residents. The ALCs selected for this award show examples of exceeding quality improvement initiatives by participating in the Wisconsin Coalition of Collaborative Excellence in Assisted Living (WCCEAL). By routinely submitting quality outcomes, checking benchmark scores, conducting and reviewing customer satisfaction surveys, and complying with regulatory requirements, our communities are dedicated to setting themselves apart from the rest.
