2025 Lurie Center for Autism Summer Undergraduate Research Internships: Apply Now! Are you an undergraduate student passionate about autism research and care? The Lurie Center for Autism at Massachusetts General Hospital is accepting applications for our Summer 2025 Internship Program, taking place June 2 to August 1, 2025, in Lexington or Charlestown, MA. This nine-week, full-time program offers hands-on training in autism research and clinical care. Interns will work with faculty mentors on research projects, attend weekly seminars, and gain experience in areas like study design, data analysis, and patient recruitment, with opportunities to observe specialties such as neurology, psychology, and psychiatry. Designed for rising juniors and seniors (exceptional sophomores considered), the program welcomes students of all majors, particularly those studying psychology, biology, neuroscience, or pre-med. Postdoctoral Researcher, Harvard Medical School - Massachusetts General Hospital | PhD in Neuroscience
I am excited to announce that I successfully defended my dissertation thesis and was awarded my PhD in Neuroscience from Rutgers University! My graduate school experience was a beautiful journey that not only fostered my personal and scientific growth but also allowed me to meet amazing people who have left a lasting impact on my life. I am deeply grateful to everyone who supported me and shared unforgettable memories throughout these years. Thanks to my mentor, Dr. Federico Sesti, whose dedication to my academic and personal growth has been truly inspiring. I am deeply grateful for his mentorship.?To my lab members, thank you for the stimulating discussions, technical support, and collaborative environment. I would also like to extend a special thanks to Dr. David P. Crockett, MA PhD for his insightful feedback, collaborative spirit, and valuable expertise. As I close this chapter, I am excited to begin the next phase of my career as a postdoctoral researcher in the Angélica Torres-Berrío lab at Harvard Medical School – Mass General Hospital. At the award ceremony in New York City, he shared insights from across his career, discussing his early work in obsessive compulsive disorder and how he discovered his passion for autism spectrum disorder.
