关于我们
Lunexus Space is a pre-seed venture focused on bootstrapping the orbital manufacturing ecosystem by recycling and remanufacturing photovoltaics in space from the materials bound up in the ever growing mass of orbital debris.

Great conversation on how best to decommission the International Space Station in 2030. Lunexus is forming a consortium to craft (a still unsolicited) proposal to build and operate a recycling/manufacturing depot/hub. Interested partner companies should contact Gregory Vialle. For information on what such an effort might look like: https://lnkd.in/gemJ_bvt
Space Technology: Holes Bubble Up In NASA’s Narrative On And Plan To De-Orbit The International Space Station NASA claims the commercial space sector provided no “feasible proposals” from “discussions” or “viable interest” in response to a Request for Information (RFI) on how to reuse, repurpose, or recycle part or all of the 420-metric-tonne International Space Station. Space companies say they never saw or even heard of such requests. To understand NASA’s unfunded $1.5-billion-plan, and the alternatives - some of which would support technological development for the commercial and defense sectors - Laura Winter speaks with George Pullen, Chief Economist at MilkyWayEconomy; Justin Kugler, Director of Business Development for new initiatives at Intuitive Machines, an alum of the NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration ISS Program Office, and a former @Central Intelligence Agency intelligence analyst; Ed Tate, Co-Founder & CTO at Virtus Solis Technologies; and William (Bill) Kemp Kemp, Founder and CEO of United Space Structures.

Happy Earth Day! The rock we call home is just like every other rock in the solar system and beyond. Same oxidized metals, found in same relative amounts throughout the universe. Just like the Moon, or Mars, or the multitudes of asteroids. Except... the Earth is not just a pile of resources. It's home, the only home we have (so far). Except... the Earth has a biosphere, a thin shell of life, not found ANYWHERE else (at least so far). Except... the Earth's resources are in easy reach from the surface. We just have to utilize them without destroying the ecosystem that makes Earth both unique, and home. Going to space to mine the moon or asteroids and bring back to Earth resources that are already here in abundance makes ZERO sense. Spreading Earth's unique life to other places, makes ALL the sense. And all the elements are in place to replicate, perpetuate, and proliferate Earth's biosphere in miniature and polyculture across the mulititudes of other rocks. If propagating itself is not the purpose of Life, then what is?

?? We've been keeping it pretty quiet, because we're too busy to deal with all the salesbots thinking we might actually have a budget for them (we don't). Despite the hush-hush, Lunexus Space is thrilled to be an NSF SBIR Phase 1 grant awardee. Don't tell anyone. https://lnkd.in/gmuMfP7v
