We tried something a little different at SXSW this year... - Rented a private mansion with my friends at Blindspot - Threw a dinner for entrepreneurs and hired the top chef from the best barbeque spot in Austin (Franklin's). - Hosted a fireside chat to share the untold founding stories of entrepreneurs like Euwyn Poon, Founder of Spin, and Christopher from Contrarian Thinking Capital. - Put together a brunch for top marketing, media, and entertainment execs... curated by a private chef. - Hosted a poker night for builders. - All free for the tech community. We called this event series Lumos House. The result: Over 400+ CEOs, investors, and tech execs in attendance... thousands of conversations and new relationships built. In the last 6 months, I’ve automated over 30% of my work with AI. I now use ~10 AI tools for everything... from writing content and taking notes to doing research and even texting friends. We’ve expanded beyond mixers to conferences, multi-day events, industry dinners, wellness functions, and even virtual experiences. Not only do we provide guests with opportunities to gather, but also ones to learn from industry leaders and veteran entrepreneurs. Fibe?unites our event experiences, including?Andrew's Mixers,?The Junto Series,?Lumos House, and many more experiences, and pays homage to the idea of Fiber—a subtle piece of technology that provides connectivity to billions of people, allowing them to stay in touch with the community. Our goals for 2025 are ambitious. Last year, I left Google to start an events company. In just our first year, I bootstrapped our company to over $1 million in revenue. I’ve never been one to take big risks, so leaving the security of a large company made me nervous. I didn't know if it would work! But it's been a wild year - we hosted over 100 events in 6 cities for over 20,000 people. We did it all—from intimate curated dinners to massive parties, multi-day mansion retreats, and entrepreneurship conferences with hundreds of attendees.
