We're thrilled to celebrate J.Crew for walking the walk when it comes to supporting their working parent employees. They've just sponsored their ENTIRE team to attend LUMO's upcoming Boundaries Workshop as part of our Vote Like a Mother fundraiser with Chamber of Mothers & Bobbie. Why does this matter? Because when major retailers like J.Crew step up, they're not just investing in their employees – they're championing a culture where working parents can thrive. This is what leadership looks like, folks! The workshop (happening October 22nd!) is designed to empower working parents with practical boundary-setting strategies, especially crucial during this election season. Want to join J.Crew in making a difference? There's still time for companies to register your team! Be part of this movement to support working parents when they need it most. Because when companies invest in working parents, everyone wins. Link to register in the comments.

We got the idea for this visual from someone we admire deeply at LUMO, Melody Gross. Melody Gross is a speaker, mother, coach, educator, Domestic Violence survivor and advocate. She founded Courageous SHIFT to give organizations the tools, strategies, and courage to create an equitable, inclusive, and safe workplace for everyone. According to Break the Cycle: - Every minute 32 people experience intimate partner violence in the United States. - Over 47% of women have encountered contact sexual violence, physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner during their lifetime. Someone you know, maybe someone you work with is experiencing or has experienced domestic violence. Follow Melody, reach out to her. Take action on educating yourself and your organization about domestic violence.

Today, LUMO’s DEI Book Club is diving into “The Canary Code” by the absolutely phenomenal Ludmila Praslova, Ph.D., SHRM-SCP, ?? and we’re not just talking about it – we’re BEING about it. At LUMO, DEI is a VERB. We’re rolling up our sleeves and doing the work because real change doesn’t happen from the sidelines. “The Canary Code” is giving us ALL the insights about neurodiversity, dignity, and creating workplaces where everyone can have a great experience. Shoutout to Dr. Praslova for being the champion we need, shining a spotlight on neurodivergent experiences in the workplace and showing us how to walk the talk of genuine inclusion. Because at LUMO, we don’t just read about change – we make it happen!

Magic happens when LUMO coaches gather! Today our coaching cohort got a masterclass in virtual presence from the incredible Brian Lafontaine. From the get, Brian commanded the screen and transformed our Zoom game (and kept us laughing while doing it!). These monthly gatherings are where business meets joy - we strategize, we grow, and yes, sometimes we happy-cry together. Truly the LUMO way. Brian, you're a virtuoso of virtual presence - thank you for sharing your brilliance. And to the LUMO Leaders who showed up ready to play full-out on a Friday afternoon, we are so grateful for you!
